Can I legally drive a minibus? - FREE seminar
Suitable for all class A, category B & D1 licence holders
If you drive a minibus on your car licence you could be breaking the law!
Within Europe, only the UK allows certain drivers to drive minibuses on their car licences, but only under certain conditions. However, it’s these conditions that still appear to confuse many drivers.
Although many minibuses may look similar, the rules aren’t. Different rules apply to different minibuses, different drivers in different situations. Therefore for many drivers and owners it’s not easy knowing which rules apply.
More recently new law changes to seat belts, tachographs and drivers hours’ rules have added to the confusion. Even Professional minibus drivers who hold PCV licences will be subject to new rules.
A driver is not only responsible for the vehicle and its passengers, but also responsible for holding the correct licence category to drive the minibus. Failier to comply with these laws and conditions through any unintentional ignorance could result in court fines, penalty points and invalid insurance.
There exists a lot of confusion about the laws relating to minibus driving and they can be quite complex to understand. This free seminar will help minibus drivers from businesses, schools, community transport and charities better understand these rules.
