The New Minibus Road Safety Challenge

The Minibus Road safety challenge is a new incentive to help and encourage minibus drivers understand the necessary laws, regulations and responsibilities in order to help maintain Passenger Comfort and Safety as a No. 1 priority.

All minibus drivers will have the chance to undertake the challenge to be recognised and rewarded for their attitude, knowledge, efforts and driving skills to reassure passengers that they are in safe hands.

The challenge currently includes the Minibus Driver Extra-Mile Award and the Minibus Knowledge of Passenger Safety with plans to later introduce a third category concentrating on driving skills.

Passenger comfort and safety should always be a driver's number one priority at all times. The scheme was developed in order to clarify important regulations and responsibilities which currently leave minibus owners and drivers confused.

All minibus operators, owners and drivers who wish to take their responsibilities seriously are invited to take the challenge and be recognised and rewarded for their efforts.

The Minibus Road Safety Challenge not only involves drivers and owners but also passengers and parents of children who also travel in minibuses.
