Operator licensing
If you are using a minibus for hire or reward without either a valid PSV operator's licence or permit you could be liable to prosecution and have your vehicle impounded.
VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency)
Various operator licensing categories and permits apply to different organisations depending on individual circumstances. The following are commonly associated with organisations who are connected with operating a minibus within the UK:
Standard International operator's licence (commercial/Hire and reward)
Standard National operator's licence (commercial/Hire and reward)
Restricted operator's licence (commercial/Hire and reward)
Section 19 permit (not for profit/hire and reward)
Section 22 permit (not for profit/local service)
Still unsure?
If you are still unsure as to which licensing regime applies to you, please see: Are you operating a minibus within the law?
